Tim is just awesome, all the way around. We live out of state and have a home in PA we are fixing up in hopes of retiring in the future. We wanted to get a new roof on our garage (nice size, 12:12 pitch, steep). Tim had come and given us a fair quote late last year, but due to COVID, we couldn’t come back to PA until this fall. You don’t want anyone working on your property while you aren’t there so when we made it back to PA in September, we called Tim to see if he could do the roof for us while we were back. No problem. He actually fit us in and got the roof on during the short time we were back in PA and did it on short notice on top of that! Very accommodating! My husband and I have been around many tradesmen/contractors and many overpromise and under-deliver. Tim is not like that based on our interactions with him. He does what he says he will do. He calls and texts you with any questions or concerns. We found him to be ethical and honest. Also want to say the roofing crew was respectable, mannerly, and did a great job. They cleaned up the worksite and you couldn’t even tell they had been there. Based on the great job Tim and his crew did with the roof, we are going to have Tim and his crew do quite a large job for us come early summer 2021. Hopefully, we will be able to post another positive review for Harrer Construction. Keep up the good work!

Our roof started leaking and causing damage to our ceilings in two rooms.  We were in a rush to get someone on it but wanted to do it the right way and decided to interview 5 people for bids.  Tim was the last guy we sat down with.  Luckily he did my mother’s roof a few years back so she referred him.  This is crucial since he doesn’t have much advertising and otherwise we would have never known about him.  He came out the same day he called me back to take a look at the roof.  He put together an estimate and we were pleasantly surprised!  About 1/2 of the most expensive bid and almost $1,100 cheaper than the cheapest bid which didn’t include an additional roof to be installed over an outdoor structure.  We thought we sure hope this isn’t too good to be true.  Tim and his crew started the job the very next week.

The job went off without a hitch!  Tim and his crew took just two days to rip off my entire roof and replace it with quality Owens Corning shingles, and put a metal roof on my outdoor structure.  They came early, about 7:15 and worked until the job was done.  They cleaned up everything and even cleaned our gutters while they were up there!  I can’t say enough good things about T. Harrer Roofing and Remodeling.  They are a young company, but what they lack in age they make up for in professionalism, quality work, and value.  Excellent job.  Will definitely be using them again for other projects.

Tim understood the project and what was needed to successfully complete it.  Fine water tight results.  I would not go anywhere else for future roofing work.  Project involved membrane roofing, balcony floor grading and a new gutter system.  Additional work was requested and Tim did it on a material and labor basis (not a $$ ‘change order’).  The crew worked on the project until completed (not start and come back a week later).  All work done as described with the work area clean.  The estimate was the final cost.

It was my good fortune to be put in contact with Tim Harrer. We had a major construction idea: to convert a front bedroom into a sun room and as part of the project, extend our front porch/deck around the side of the house. Tim worked up the plans based on our description. His final recommendation is what we went with: completely redo the room in cedar paneling, add multiple windows (casement and awning styles) on both exterior walls, and a French door that would open onto the new deck. The floor would be stone tile in a random pattern. The plan sounded great. Over the next few months, Tim and his team began the project. They were all courteous and very professional. It was fun to watch them make this amazing conversion. Little touches were added. For example, the crown molding in the room was recessed just an inch or so and LED lighting was added. The effect was dramatic. For the deck expansion, he built benches into the deck and a cut out around a growing azalea.Needless to say, the final product was beautiful to behold. This work was done in 2015. Since that time, we’ve had Tim come out to the house to replace windows, our front door, and put in a skylight in the laundry room. Our latest project in 2018 was to remove carpet from two bedrooms and replace with hickory hardwood. He also suggested and we approved, removing the old bi-fold closet doors with sliding “barn door” style doors. The improvement was more than we were hoping for.

Tim is a careful, detail oriented, “customer first” sort of man. The quality of his work and the work of his team impeccable. If I ever need any work done around or in the house, my first call is always to Tim Harrer.

Everything went much better than I could have asked for. I would recommend Tim Harrer to anyone.  I was referred to Tim for roofing work by my brother Tyler. He answered the phone (always a good sign), scheduled a meeting, showed up on time, and priced the job lower than the competitors. Once I contacted him, he explained the different options thoroughly, and all I had to do was sign the estimate and run to the bank. Throughout the whole process he was courteous and very professional. I also had him set a door when he was here and I was pleased with the work he had done. Clean-up was very meticulous and I was more than happy to write a review when he contacted me about Angie’s List advertising.

It went very smoothly! Honestly, every step of the way, he informed us what was done and what they needed to do. We knew when they were coming, if there was going to be a weather interruption, etc. They did the job very well, and the cleanup was wonderful. They lived up to the work-of-mouth referrals we received. If he gives you an estimate, don’t be afraid that the overly-low price is a sign of a poor job. We had new lumber put on our roof, along with Owens Corning lifetime shingles. The roof is good, shingles are tight, job is excellent! I have been recommending him to him to everyone I know!

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! We had a leaking metal roof that needed completely removed and started over, due to it being an older house, and the back roof (where it was added on) had a flat area. They removed all of the old metal roof, the old wood, replaced the wood, re-pitched the flat part of the roof, put on lifetime Owens Corning shingles! We had old box gutters that needed to be replaced, and were replaced with new ones. They did a fantastic job, the re-pitch on the roof is absolutely gorgeous. We’ve had some stormy days since they put on the roof a few weeks ago, and there are no problems 🙂 He honestly came in at LESS THAN HALF OF MY LOWEST ESTIMATE, and more than half in others. They arrived here at 7am, every day, put in an honest day’s work, and left at 430pm. Very reliable, respectable, honest. I can’t say enough about this company. They will be coming back later this spring to do some ceiling work (from the leaky roof) as well as my replacement windows. I can’t wait!
